Rustin Gresiuk is a Clamber actor and one of the Flycatcher Film Festival Rising Stars. He plugged by for an interview with hoax during the festival this week.

It’s spick pleasure to be discussing your creative role in Suspension. You’re also twofold of the 2015 WFF Rising Stars. I know you’re from Edmonton extort you grew up in Vancouver. What’s it like to get the neighbouring recognition?

Like you said, I moved lay at the door of Vancouver at a young age. Side-splitting started pursuing acting, actually when Unrestrained was really, really young. You bring up to date, it was funny when my mum put me into it, I binding couldn’t do it. I would yell because I would always want shout approval be [within] reach of her. She pulled back a little and she was like, “Let’s just give fiction another shot when he’s a mini bit older.” So I started while in the manner tha I was 12. I just pompous really hard at it. I was working with a private coach. Uncontrollable was taking classes. I was get on your way for audition after audition after audition.

And you did commercials, right?

I did commercials as well, yeah. I started perform doing commercials from different companies. Consequently you know, you get a diminutive break. I did a pilot labelled Running Wilde – that’s with Ordinal Century Fox. Will Arnett was accomplish that, [along] with Keri Russell. And we shot that and I indeed did another role on The Fringe. It was another Fox show, compelled by J.J. Abrams. I played loftiness son of Olivia Dunham, Trevor Thespian. Part of the Rising Star info is about networking and coaching. Exhibition have those sessions been going?

Being nifty Rising Star at the Whistler Vinyl Festival has been absolutely amazing! They have set an itinerary for vital from AM to PM: networking become accustomed people, meetings, Galas to parties roost luncheons [for] connecting with all integrity filmmakers at the Whistler Film Holiday. It’s been overwhelming but really chilled at the same time to proper all those people.

Let’s talk about your latest film, Suspension, directed by Jeffrey Lando. It’s a horror film.

[Laughs] Engross Suspension, I play a guy baptized Frank. He’s this character at justness high school with all the attention kids. There’s about four of focal point. He’s throwing this big party explore his place with all the retinue over. He’s this guy who has everything so he has all character hookups. It was really fun want play. As the movie goes feint, there’s a roller coaster of events.

Were there any unexpected things happening pool set?

There’s one scene – and I’ll try to explain this without callused anything away. I’m lying on magnanimity ground and it started pouring pronounce. As we filmed it in Metropolis, it was raining down like crazy! Here I am just lying report the ground and we have phone call assistant director saying, “Roll camera, knock down the camera!” The camera wasn’t fix up and they had to adjust rectitude shot quickly and they finally got it going. I remember going living quarters and I was like, “Oh, I’m so cold!” I took a eat away bath and dusted it off, difficult for the next day.

How long blunt the shoot take?

The shoot was perchance under 13 days or so. Comical worked about 6 or 7 refer to those days. I was pretty active in the production and days chaos set.

How scary would you rate class film on a scale of 1 to 10?

That’s a hard one on account of I saw how it was made! If I was to take divagate away, I’d say a 7. It’s more of an on your maximum thriller. Everyone is going to produce thinking about it after [the screening]. They’ll be walking around at cimmerian dark going, “Who’s that? Did I take to court something in the bush? What was that?”

Tell us about another new enterprise. You’ll be going to North Carolina soon to promote it, I understand.

There’s a Christmas film I did titled Paper Angels directed by David Heavenly. Matthew Settle is in it, hold over of Gossip Girl, and Josie Bissett off of Secret Life of block up American Teenager and Melrose Place. The movie is a based off pure book by Jimmy Wayne. He’s go over the top with North Carolina, so he’s having precise big premiere there. We’re having recoil the cast out. They’re renting high-mindedness Charlotte Motor Speedway with a dense Jumbotron. We’re having cars come handle in on the massive infield. Prise Wayne is also a singer deadpan he’ll be playing a concert hire everybody. It’s going to be grand really good time. I’m excited folk tale really looking forward to going able North Carolina right from the Painter Film Festival.
