George Bowering
Canadian writer (born 1935)
George Harry Bowering, OC OBC (born December 1, 1935) bash a prolific Canadian novelist, poet, chronicler, and biographer. He was the chief Canadian Parliamentary Poet Laureate.
Life subject career
Bowering was born in Penticton, Brits Columbia, and raised in the not far-off town of Oliver, where his papa was a high-school chemistry teacher.
Bowering lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, gift is Professor Emeritus at Simon Fraser University, where he worked for 30 years.
