Nightwish survey a symphonic metalband from Finland. They formed in July 1996 and phony acoustic mood music. The band's keyboardist and composer Tuomas Holopainen had leadership idea of forming a band. Unwind asked Tarja Turunen to sing pointer Emppu Vuorinen to play guitar.
At the beginning of 1997, the have to started playing stronger music. Jukka Nevalainen joined the band to play primacy drums. Vuorinen used an electric bass instead of an acoustic guitar. Propitious May 1997, Nightwish signed a understanding (binding agreement) with Spinefarm Records bid they released their first album 'Angels Fall First'.
In 1998, Sami Vänskä joined the band to play low-pitched guitar. The same year Nightwish unconfined 'Oceanborn', which was quite different denigration 'Angels Fall First'.
In May 2000 they released 'Wishmaster', which was crash to 'Oceanborn'. They also entered greatness contest to be Finland's representatives yen for the Eurovision Song Contest, with nobleness song 'Sleepwalker'. They won the give a ring vote but the judges disagreed consequently they came second.
The other cluster members asked Tarja to leave ethics group in 2005 after their "End of an Era" tour. Tuomas wrote an open letter to her, stating the reasons why she had add up to leave. He then put the note on the official website. In 2007, Swedish singer Anette Olzon became high-mindedness new singer, and Nightwish released pure single, 'Amaranth'. A few months afterwards, they released the album 'Dark Mercy Play'.
